Stuff I Love

There’s no use in reinventing the wheel. At least, that’s how I feel. That is why I love recommendations from others. And I thought it would also be fun to give you a some great recommendations of stuff I like!

I love blogging. I’ve been doing it for 7 years now, mostly on my Dutch website. If you’re interested in setting up your own blog and are looking for a great host, I can recommend Bluehost. If you register via this Average To Awesome-link, you will get a special deal and get started for only $3.95 a month!

And if you want to create your own tribe, you might be interested in Wishlist. This plug-in enables you to create your own member site. You only pay for it once, and there are no recurring monthly fees. I’m currently creating my own member site for Average To Awesome, so I’ll tell you more about it in the next few weeks!

My current favourite is You Are a Badass at Making Money: Master the Mindset of Wealth. When I was in New York last year, I bought her previous book, You’re a Badass: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life. I l-o-v-e-d it. OK, I don’t really care for swearing, but Jen Sincero is able to strike a chord with almost everything she says. It’s now on my bedside table and my guess is that it will be read more than once.

For you Americans, this might be nothing new, but as a Dutchie, I just love America. I even started my study American Studies years before I actually visited the US for the first time. That was in 2005. I was instantly – more – hooked. Now, I try to visit the US at least once a year. Still on my wishlist: Mount Rushmore, New Orleans, Southern States, Portland (the one from Grimm), and probably a lot more.

Your guide to an absolutely awesome life.
